Clan creation utility

To create a clan:

1. Connect to Battle.net on a Warcraft III product
2. Find or load 9 other Warcraft III clients in the same channel. (Note: If the keys are voided, simply have your designated chieftain add the voided usernames to the friends list and have each voided name add the chieftain to its friend list.) 3. From the 'Profile Options' menu select 'Clan Creation Utility'
4. Type in the clan tag you wish to create. (Note: This will be your home channel, e.g. Clan 'Test')
5. Click the 'Check Availability' button.
6. Select exactly 9 usernames from the list.
7. Type in a clan name in the box labeled 'Clan Name'.
8. Once all 3 labels turn green, hit the 'Create Clan!' button.
9. Done! Enjoy the clan.

Common errors/problems

Problem: The 'Clan Candidates' label stayed red after clicking 'Check Availability'.
Solution: You need at least 9 possible users in the righthand box. Get more Warcraft III users.

Problem: The 'Clan Tag' label stayed red after clicking 'Check Availability'.
Solution: Try another clan tag, because the one you entered is most likely taken.

Problem: The 'Clan Name' box is always red.
Solution: Type a clan name into the box.

Problem: Battle.net tells me that candidates are not available.
Solution: Make sure you correctly followed step 2 from above. If that doesn't work, try switching the keys on the usernames Battle.net sent you, as it is likely those keys are 'clanned'.

Problem: Battle.net tells me that candidates declined my request.
Solution: Get smarter friends.
